Avarage food, not bad place. Good in summer as there is a garden seating by a canal. We ordered 4 meals, one came boiling hot and another 3 barely warm... Wasn't best eating out experience.

Covid compliant. Choice of 3 real ales plus lagers ciders etc. Tasty selection of food at reasonable prices. Very attentive staff. Sat on the canal side decking in the sunshine. A perfect way to spend a Tuesday lunchtime.

Took my dad here for lunch today. Fab social distancing & hand wash management. Greeted politely at the door. Great service. Food excellent. Will definitely be going back....hopefully when the weather is sunny, so that we can enjoy the decking area overlooking the canal. 😎

Dropped in whilst passing, for just a single drink. Everything was just ok. The staff were ok. The beer was ok. Being served at a table is fine, and completely understandable, but please don’t spill the pint on the tray so that my change is swimming in beer. And giving pennies instead of silver felt like an added snub. On a previous visit the staff were very friendly, and accommodating. Feels like luck of the draw when you visit. The location is great. So there’s that.

Friendly welcome. Good food served by professional, friendly staff. Vivid measures well handled. Felt very comfortable. Will be visiting again.
