The Royal Oak really does an excellent job of being a "local pub". Friendly and efficient service, comfortable surroundings and a reasonable range of well kept beer and other drinks. Throughout the various lockdowns they have done all they can to continue to provide as high level of service as is possible. Recommended.

This is a pub you would call a local. Sells Banks' and the beer is kept well. No food other than crusty cobs and crisps - that's how it should be. Don't go to the Royal Oak if you like 'family food pubs' with no atmosphere. The hosts are proper landlords - a pleasant family who run a pub how it should be. Regular local live music. Gets VERY busy on a match day.

Such a great local pub. Staff very friendly and everyone who goes is welcoming. Decent prices, very nice beer garden and even an outdoor bar

Lovely out door seating area. Their covid19 system is great , well thought out and implemented. Staff really friendly and helpful.Nice cobs too.

Best pub I've ever been to. They go to great lengths to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, and couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
