We planned to stop here in the middle of our 6/7 hour journey and we booked in for 2pm and our other party members showed up at 2.15 and we didn't get asked what food we wanted my partner had to go to the bar to get someone to come over at 3.10 when we were told everything is table service. absolutely atrocious service all the staff were just nattering at the bar.
As well as that they do not have a hand dryer or paper towels in the baby changing so could not dry hands after washing. Which is not covid safe.
Food was average which for a mid journey stop isn't detrimental.
Would not come back.
Can't fault the place. Staff all cheerful and positive (served by Colin) even during the Covid issues. Atmosphere is great too also considering. Food is top notch having had a mixed grill all cooked perfectly. Rare steak and nice runny eggs. Will be back.
Covid precautions good - feels a safe place to eat in these difficult times. Service good. We are regular customers with a Mixed Grill for me (always very good) and Haddock & Chips for the wife (she says it is always excellent).
Excellent service, good food.
Great service from all of the Staff. Social Distancing was well organised & well executed. The food was excellent for us & the attention to service was superb.
