It was my first time at Newcross hospital and I was very pleased with the service, professionalism, waiting times and advice and care that was given. Thank you to the NHS and the staff and team @ Newcross Hospital Eye infirmary

My elderly mother went in with eye problems and extreme pain on 19/12/19 waited five hours to be seen by a Dr! Was seen to by a nurse initially after three hours...was told by this nurse she would be seen by a Doctor within 1 hour due her to complications. After waiting another 2 hours..my mother asked the same nurse for help due to the pain who told her it was nothing to do with her anymore. Only to be told by Doctor he had been waiting in his room 2 hours as the nurses had not passed on any patients on to him. Absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable behaviour of the nurse involved...incompetent in her job role which we as tax payers are paying her earnings for. Such a disgrace to treat elderly patients in pain! I'm stunned to hear New cross hospital employs staff as such...is this the nxt Staffordshire hospital in waiting?

Ive often had to use this eye hospital for last 16 years unfortunately I lost my eye back thenand had to have my eye removed and implant put in faulse eye made. Never knew tbere were so many specialist fot each part of the eye i have at some time or another häd to see most of them they are totally different from any doctors ive seen in hospital tbey are so helpful and have a lot of time to spend with you they explain everything in detail and happy to answer any questions want probaly go for appointment at least monthly appointment is normally on time or 30 min wait when really busy lovely constable chairs and nurses often walking past checking kn everone offering free drinks or food änd its a calming effect if rsst of hospitals are run this wäy be brilliant if they are able to treat you as human beings and not numbers why can't the hospital behind it had 3 majour operation same specialist 1st 16 years ago last 5weeks ago same specialist throughout hes a example that others should follow great place for serious things to worry people as eyes are important want best cäre this is where to recive it
