One of if not "THE BEST" venues in Tamworth. Tbh if you weren't aware you could easily breeze by as it is very deceptive from the front. The owner "George" is not only a great host he's a true visionary & has totally transformed the former tourist information centre into a real gem of a place. I shared a few quality real ales & ciders outside with a couple of friends last evening & the choice for both was amazing. The decor, table spacing & outdoor heating was perfect & on certain nights there's even live music. Looking around whist outside you could've been in any European city. Kudos to George & his wife Louise on what they've achieved & I'm sure that there's still more to come. So I urge all of you Tammy's or from even further a field who like to drink in a warm, friendly hospitable environment to give this place a try. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed! πΊπ₯π·π
Fantastic place that is beeming with history and character. It brings a lot of life into what has become a dying highstreet. Very friendly and attentitive staff that are will give you the time to talk about the place. 4 star only due to my personal preference of strong flat cider than fruitier cider, although if you're getting into real cider then this will be a 5 β place to visit.
Brilliant micro brewery pub - great variety of alcohol of most kinds. Covid awareness is excellent & believe safe as can be. The outdoor area is super altogether a great place to be, waiting on is excellent too.
Nice cosy pub, abiding by all the covid rules without feeling oppressive. They do a paddle with three thirds of a pint on, was a fun way to check out a few ales. Staff were friendly, all in all enjoyed the place and would go again.
Simply the best, not only the quality Ales, but also the fantastic friendly staff in a beautiful historical Tudor setting.
