Food was poor and over cooked. Mash was smash. Little wonder the place was not busy. Will not be going back unless they charge the chef and decide they want to do food well rather than with little focus. Desserts were ok but probably prepackaged.
Just revisited the long wood after .our family stopped using the pub 18 months ago due to bad management I've got to say our family meal tonight was excellent the staff are welcoming and friendly much better atmosphere well done to the new management turning the pub back into a family favourite really pleased tonight 👏👏
Absolutely shocking attitude by off duty staff during quiz 2nite. I certainly won't be coming back. That tall kitchen and up front guy called jack needs to remember we are customers, telling us to *£&+ off and mouthing off at the quiz master and making a scene, then farting, belching and shouting all the time... Shocking. What happened to Vikki, she would never have allowed this behavior. I will never be coming back.
Cracking pub grub in a friendly establishment. Lockdown precautions were thorough without being obtrusive. An enjoyable evening out.
Service can be slow, stick to stuff others order the veg lasagne was rank and more like a side dish. Good owner though who is helpful and easy to deal with.
