Strange smell throughout building. Like a damp, musty kind of odour. Rooms appear to be cleaned on a superficial basis, if you actually look at skirting boards and door frames and bathroom tiles you will notice that the room hasn't had a thorough clean for some time. Windows need a clean too, inside and out. Location is good. Car park also good. Host friendly enough.
I have stayed in this guest house on more than one occasion now, and its standards have not wavered, great service, great stay, highly recommend this guest house! This place is really good value for money in our opinion, and the owner is lovely
Bridge House may be simple and unassuming but we were welcomed by a kind and helpful host who showed us to a pleasant room with a comfortable bed and en-suite shower etc. The side table had the usual electric kettle and crockery and plenty of tea, coffee and milk for drinks. We were there only one night (family funeral) but I would happily stay here again. One lady whom we met at breakfast said she regularly stays here on her trips from abroad as she, like us, values the kindness and the helpfulness of the owners.
Nice quiet place good breakfast as well
Rooms are a bit adequate. Not enough sockets for the plethora of tools the modern worker uses. However parking is plentiful. Breakfast is five star, for those without cholesterol problems they ask you how many sausages you want. Breakfast staff are fantastic. A good no fills place to stay. Not en-suite for me.
