Best for golfers and couples who manage to get a precious booking slot at the gym and pool. Not good value for families, as experience now in the post covid19 world akin to a premier inn. No bar, no restaurant, they dont even change your dirty tea cups in the room, no local walks as the golf course blocks the pathway to the river...service average at front desk too. Not worth the three figure sum for a room per night for sure. Also view from ground floor family room awful in comparison to those on the golf course side.
Roast Dinner not as good as it used to be but still nice, desserts are amazing, service very good.
Last time I stayed here the smell of paint was overbearing. This time nobody told me I had to order breakfast the night before. I stay in hotels that still manage to keep a good level of normality even in difficult times. Nice location and cheap but for the rest not good enough.
Went for afternoon tea and really enjoyed it lovely hotel in great grounds and the woman that saw to us was absolutely fantastic. 😁👍
