We came here after a short walk on the common with our dog. The pub is very well organised and the staff are very sharp. I have to give them credit where it’s due, this is the most efficiently run pub I’ve been to since lockdown lifted. We stopped and had lunch. The pub is dog friendly, so they filled up a dog bowl for us and offered treats. The food and drinks are fairly priced for the area. They’re not expensive. Not cheap. The food is really good quality for the price. The burgers and sandwiches are really nice and fairly priced. My partner had the lamb shank which was disappointing. This was literally the only slight negative to our experience. The lamb shank was still good and cooked well, with some lovely fresh veg and mash potato. Unfortunately the lamb was a bit bald. It was not bad, it just didn’t live up to the flavour or quality of the burgers and sandwiches. I think this still deserves 5 stars as there were so many positives.

Ate here earlier today with family and understandable had to sit outside to eat. Which was fine starting off but we did request to move to a table with a heater as soon as someone left. Food took quiet a while to come after starters and then we went to move to a table that had a heater after we finished our meals because the children 1y and 5y were very cold. We were then told that the group of lads that came after us reserved that table. We were then told by the waiter that he has to check how long we have been there as we have a time slot because he wasn’t happy we said about moving to the warmer table. Not really very nice considering the slow service. Apart from this we would have enjoyed the experience. But this just ruined it for us. No consideration for families with kids.

Stayed at the premiere inn down the road and wanted the eat somewhere different. We booked the table and ordered the food via their app. Nice setting, freindly staff, nice food adequately priced. The real ale was brilliant. Shame they had ran out of the pudding we wanted though. Would certainly return in the future if we were doing the same trip again

Fabulous! Second time we have been there and this visit as good as first. Elliot who served us could not do enough to make sure our visit was great. Great food, great service Fabulous!! Regards, Chris Skinner

Just had some soft drinks and some snacks. The food was really good. Their system for social distancing was good and I was able to sit outside which was perfect. They have a radar toilet which was clean and in a nice condition
