Very nice tea and coffee. Polite staff

Decent, very strange look for a cafe, more American but the guys who worked there were awful with a calculator, like I couldn't believe both of them had so much trouble adding up and they were blatantly eastern European. No Biggie. But Jesus, there are so many old people that visit, and course there is a local old peoples home nearby so they all meet up and shout because they are half deaf, the place really isn't big enough, they need a separate room :D Food wasn't memorable, but it's a cafe you can pay by card I guess...

Food was reasonable, but the staff struggle to get to grips with laws regarding food allergies. Having asked about gluten free products, they didn't fully understand. When my food arrived, the young waiter even questioned as to whether an egg contains gluten! The food was nice enough, but they would definitely benefit from learning about food allergens!

I don't usually write reviews, but everything about our breakfast in Point Cafe was just so awful I felt that I had to. Myself, my partner and another friend placed our orders at the same time. After about 45 minutes, our friends food showed up and then we had to wait another 45 minutes (by which time our friend had finished eating) for me to get my food. My partners food had still not showed up and the staff really didn't seem to care and we frankly just rude. The photographs of the food displayed on the screens at the front are incredibly misleading; I had ordered a burger that was pictured looking delicious (in a brioche bun, chips on the side and salad coming out of it). After an hour and a half it was brought to the table in a take away box and was literally a hard stale bun with a greasy patty in the middle. That's it. No cheese, no salad, no chips no nothing. Having waited an hour and a half to receive this I wasn't happy, and my partner had STILL not received his food! When the waiter came past, my partner again asked how long his food would be and the waiter simply replied with "I don't know" and walked away. I know this isn't fine dining, but you'd expect basic customer service at least. In the end, we gave up and went across the road to a much nicer cafe to get breakfast (which arrived quickly, was served by very nice people and was delicious). Definitely won't be going back here again.
