Had a fantastic lunch here with our children! The staff were really warm and friendly, the service was great and the food was really tasty! Hands down the best club sandwich i'd ever tasted. Social distancing measures were all set up well and it was super easy to order via their app at our table. A lovely pub lunch in festive surroundings, in a beautiful spot next to the river! What more could you want? We've been before and would certainly return again and recommend to others.

As the venue has requested why not higher than 2 stars I shall shed some top line clarity as to why; The main reason for this was mainly due to the staff. Not one of them acknowledged us, none of them seemed to want to be there and when they brought our drinks to the table they didn't even look up, just got the drinks placed on the table and walked off. Even when saying thank you and trying to pass gratitude to them I was greeted by a sour mute look. Not just from one member of staff but when looking around it seemed a common theme in the pub. In addition to this we were placed in a cold conservatory style seat that STUNK of urine from outside along with people smoking directly outside the door and not being instructed to move by staff. So in summary; rude staff, ok drinks with a strong odour of urine and cigarettes. Delightful.

Great to have a nice pint of pride again but guys remember it’s not your responsibility or right to tell other people they cannot talk to or get near friends they meet on the off chance in your establishment. It comes across as rude, controlling and a complete infringement of your customers rights. Just as a customer in a supermarket can freely chat to a passing friend in the isle and not be reprimanded by the store manager you cannot tell your patrons who they can talk to. This is still a free country and we would all like to keep it that way.
