Great campsite, easy to find. Right next to the River Thames, with some fantastic views. Amenities of are good, standard stuff, toilets, showers, washing up and waste disposal areas. Mostly grass campsite with lots of trees and wildlife, many dog owners walking around, one couple even had rabbits. Staff and fellow campers were all very friendly. There's a petrol station with well stocked shop across the road from the campsite entrance, for a better shop head a few minutes up the road you'll find Sainsbury's and Aldi supermarkets. If you fancy eating out there's two pubs bistros within walking distance "The Bridge" and "The Kingfisher" both cozy with optional outdoor dining. For a take away option we used the UberEats app to get food delivered (use code: eats-58s3ah to get £10 off), there was a popular fish and chip shop, but we opted for fried chicken from nearby Simpsons, very delicious, arrived in about 20 minutes. If you fancy a nice walk cross the bridge and hang a left (where the kingfisher pub is), and you can walk alone the Riverside, there's a working loch in use if you fancy watching the boats passing by. We stayed here three nights, during which we spent a day I Thorpe Park - around 7 minutes away - and also Legoland approximately 25 minutes away, perfect location for either theme park and also for Chessington World of Adventure. Another worthy trip to consider is popping into Windsor to view Windsor Castle, cross the beautiful section of the River Thames to Eton college, an interesting and educational tour. On our final day, we drove into Central London for a day trip, this was still an hour's drive due to traffic, so I would next time consider a train journey instead. All in all this was a great campsite

We chose Chertsey on the basis of the many favourable reviews. We weren't disappointed. Team were flexible and helpful on the phone; we enjoyed a cheerfully warm welcome and received all the details we needed. The site is neat and tidy, Covid precautions are being observed thoroughly. The aspect, towards the Thames, is pleasing and there are some good options nearby for refreshments, leisure, walking and shopping. We'll be back - this is a top site, well-equipped; looked after by an expert team, it's convenient for motorways and in a surprisingly peaceful location for a relatively busy corner of Surrey.

This was our first visit to the Chertsey campsite and we were really impressed. It is a peaceful leafy site within easy reach of the Thames for walks along the towpath, fishing etc. There is a Londis at the filling station 5 minutes away with a good selection of food and other items you may have forgotten/run out of. Despite the Covid precautions the toilets and showers were open which was a great bonus. They have good facilities for emptying grey water etc. which is not always the case. The staff were friendly and helpful. Add in wonderfully sunny weather and you get the perfect relaxing escape!

Lovely clean site. Friendly, helpful staff. Close yo the river so you can sit and watch the boats, paddle boarders etc Two pubs within easy walking distance that also overlook the river so nice if you just want a drink or sit and have a meal.
