Had the most amazing stay in one of their shepherds huts with my partner and small dog! The staff were amazing, food brilliant and the accommodation was pristine and so cosy for a winter break with the little log burner. We also went on the llama trek which was such a brilliant experience! We're already talking about going back next year for another stay!

Great find, stopped for 1 night to break journey home from holiday. Manager and staff really welcoming, food (and drink) really good. Room and bed very comfortable. Beautiful village and countryside. Faultless.

Edit:second visit and seriously bland and unimaginative food. Beer garden is still nice if you are just coming for a drink. Good fish and chips but ploughman's OK but really overpriced. Lovely beer garden.

Having missed our annual holiday we decided to have a night getaway for a change of scene. This place is great. Fantastic team who are hugely engaged with what they do and committed to giving their customers an excellent time. Friendly is part of their DNA. Great value for money. The kids had a great time. The Lamas are a treat. Great walks nearby. A complete hidden gem folks. Highly recommended. If you want a getaway you won't go wrong. There was the bonus of no phone signal so you can really switch off. They have rooms in the main building or you can try a bit of glamping in one of their huts. When we called up before hand, we spoke to Jake, who gave us every reassurance that we would have a great time - and folks... we did! Thank you to the team - you were great!

Quick point to make. I have not stayed here. Crying into my beer though at the photos. I remember this fondly as a great pub you could go to on a Friday night and drink real beer. Chamber pots on the ceiling and an old English sheepdog with dreads. What a difference 30 years makes. ☹️
