We enjoyed our meal, the menu was very inviting each person had something different. The staff were amazing. Definitely will come back to try other things on this menu.
They have COVID precautions in place, the one way system actually works. Plenty of space in the garden. Individual covered cubicles, good for a couple or family. Liver and bacon was great, my friend’s roast lamb was delicious. Friendly manager and staff, all good.
I’ve driven past this place hundreds of times but never stopped... until today. Booked a table and then called to advise we will be fifteen minutes late, which was no problem at all. Some very reasonable drinks prices, but on a Sunday I am only there for one thing - a roast! The three of us all went for different things, one beef, one lamb and one pork. The kitchen wasn’t far off closing time when we sat down with drinks, so someone came out to take our order. When I ordered my pork, I asked if they had apple sauce (obviously, but I like to check anyway), and when it arrived there was an extra serving of apple sauce for me. Lovely touch. The crackling was out of this world. I tried a bit of the lamb too, not fatty at all and so juicy. I tried to blag some of the beef from my friend’s plate - but he’d eaten everything in sight before I had a chance! They get their meat from Conisbee’s in Horsley - if you know, you know! I cannot full express to anyone reading this quite how much you need to go to the Seven Stars for a roast dinner!
Excellent " home cooked " food and service...as normal !!!!....we just love the whole experience of eating out for Sunday lunch ....highly recommended
Lovely food great service well thought out covid distancing and exit route.
