The staff are amazing. They will go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I had to leave for work before breakfast. The chef was happy to come in early. Unfortunaly my room was dated, attention to detail is lacking. I would not stay again unless the broken furniture and fixings were fixed and the room painted.

Really can't praise Lee and his team enough! Lovely canalside hotel. Dog friendly and service that is second to none. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely be our "Go~to" place to stay now. Thanks for a great stay.

Was originally only staying for 1 night but ended up staying 2 due to the Hotels beautiful location, superb rooms and 1st class service. Nothing is too much trouble for Lee and his team and the restaurant is very good too. Book now, you will not regret it

Approached by a narrow winding two way track. Plenty of free parking spaces. Looks impressive from the outside. Permanent Marquee situated adjacent to the main building. Reception was spacious. We were alerted to call for attention, swiftly greeted with a smile. Paperwork all sorted, car reg written down, key given, then directed via a one way system through the building. We had room 30. A double room. Spacious, large bed in a tired decorated room.( Although, they were gradually decorating vacant rooms during our visit, by the owners). This was a visit as they began serving hot food again the week before. Two nights B&B, a birthday treat for my wife. Minimum staff due to the furlough. Bath or shower over bath. Kettle, mugs and tea/coffee. Trouser press. Good sized TV. Superb breakfast, Full English, tea and coffee. Attentive Staff/Owners. Well kept Bar on site. I ordered a meal in the evening, Chicken breast filled with Boursin wrapped in Bacon, served with REAL mashed potatoes, Baby Sweetcorn, Green Beans and garnish, Absolutely Delicious. Courtyard seating area outside. Idyllic setting. Croquet on the grassed area. The Restaurant area was comfortable and inviting. They deserve a huge pat on the back for their handling of this family run establishment (30 years so far). Well Done Lee and Sam. Definitely 10 out of 10. Highly Recommended. Can't wait to visit when it's back to 'normal'.
