Twice now I have had two parcels go missing despite getting an email to tell me that the items have been delivered and signed for!!!! Thank god I have cctv to prove no delivery took place

Royal Mail's website claims they will 'always' try to deliver to a neighbour when you are out, yet they NEVER do, instead you can either go and get it from the sorting office or wait TWO days before they can be bothered to try again... what a joke.
Every other courier manages to give you the option to either leave it in a safe place, deliver to a neighbour or at least come again the next day but for this lot that's too much to ask.
