I go in this shop regularly, the staff are rude and usually on the phone while serving me, and not listening to what I’m asking for. I got charge £5.49 for a bag of smarties buttons which were a £1, and even said it on the packet. I had to ask for a receipt when I thought the woman charged me to much, and she then slammed it down on the counter. I went back in 5 minutes later after I realised she had charged me £5.49 for a bag of smarties, and I showed her the receipt and said why have you charged me this much, which she replied oh you didn’t even get smarties. I did, so I took them out my bag and showed her and then she gave me my change back with no apology. This was purposely put into the till as £5.49, as it would scan as £1, they tried to rip me off. Also the door is so heavy you can’t get in or out, and actually slams on you and hurts. It’s a fire door which weights so much, not suitable for frail people/children/ disabled access/ and no help.

Staff in the post office are very rude often on mobiles or eating behind the counter they speak to you like your beneath them one women more so than the other I actively avoid using the post office due to this

Very ignorant lady at the post office counter. Completely ignored me as she was too busy on her mobile phone. I had to keep repeating what I wanted as she wasn't paying proper attention. She got the size and weight of parcels wrong and would have overcharged if not challenged. Avoid at all costs.

Tells lies when you want to send a letter via recorded delivery. Said it wasn't possible because 'It's going to the government'. I went to another branch and as if by magic, they sent it no problem. I won't use them again.

It's terrible. The service, the ladys answer is "there's nothing I can do". Recorded letters she can't track government correspondence, she says, and car tax, her answer was "the computer says no". So I went to another post office. No questions, just a polite response "all done". The shop keeper is no better, always on the mobile phone. If she represents the post office then the post office is failing what a shame for the oldest service.
