Stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights over a weekend and it was great! The site is set within a small woodland just off a quiet road. The bell tent was very spacious especially for two of us, comprising of a memory foam mattress, spare fold out futons, a cool box and water container and then all of the cooking stuff. Don't forget that you have to bring your own bedding! There were great provisions on our pitch with all the stuff for cooking that you might need. We really appreciated being placed in one of the outer tents away from families with lots of children. What really impressed us is how welcoming the place is - Steffi seems genuinely excited and happy to be working there and there are so many lovely touches around the camp. There is a lovely little hut with snacks (including vegan marshmallows which was amazing!), wines, extra fire pit things, foraged leaf teas, walking guides and even an order board for the local cheese from the dairy up the road! You can use the honesty box or pay Steffi directly for these items in cash. There are two WCs and a urinal, two bucket showers and a kitchenette with washing up facilities and spare pots and pans etc. All of which are very clean given their 'outdoorness' which shows how well everyone tries their best to leave facilities clean for others. There is hot water available by either gas boiler on tap or between 9-10am a furnace is lit to heat up water - perfect if you want your bucket shower extra hot! Overall, it was such a relaxing break and perfect for everyone, especially families!

Our first time camping and it was a great way to start. The bell tents were spacious and clean. When we arrived a camp warden was on hand to help us. It was so much fun lighting the fire and cooking over it, then snuggling up for the night and being so close to nature. There are covered communal cooking areas for if it rains. As a first time camper I'd say take a really, really warm sleeping bag plus sleeping bag liner plus double pyjamas as the nights are so cold even in summer! And the mornings are crisp too! Take plenty of torches or those head torches as there is no light at night - so if you wake up needing the loo, you need a torch to find your way there and back! There is fire wood provided and matches and if you run out, you can buy more on site (cash only). It's wonderful being in the trees, hearing the sounds of birds and sheep and other families having a wild, fun time. There was truly something magical about the place, seeing the fires through the trees at night.

Such a beautiful campsite. The forest makes for the perfect shelter leaving the campsite quiet and cosy! Tents are always immaculate and the cooking equipment is fab- never missing anything. The people who run the campsite are always friendly and welcoming. We absolutely love it here and have been three years in a row. Easter is a lovely time to visit as the bluebells come out around that time and the woodland floor is full of them! Also, the bucket showers were fabulous fun and I actually felt super clean after them. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Such a beautiful wood site to get into nature. Definitely will return when I have kids. This site is noise free from 10pm, a bit too early for usual urbaner (but good for people who want serenity). And kids start running wild from 6am.

I stayed here with my sister and twin one year old nieces. The bell tent was gorgeous and had everything we needed, including cots for the girls. The campsite is gorgeous and hidden away in the woods. Would definitely recommend
