This was a visit to the restaurant. we have eaten at this place many times over the years although not for a long time. with a New lockdown looming we decided to have lunch today. we expected some differences due to covid security and we did have to queue for a while outside, though thankfully it wasn't raining. Having been shown to our table behind two families we were asked promptly about our drinks and ordered but were not yet ready to order our food. The meals are a little more expensive but that's more or less normal at this time everywhere. We had to 'summon' somebody to take our order after about 20 minutes. We then waited for what we were later told was about 30 minutes; one of the families ahead of us was also waiting. Having advised the waitress the wrong meals were brought; it transpired that these were for the above family. We were not asked whether we wanted any condiments and when I asked I was brought a small amount of balsamic vinegar. I asked a passing assistant who brought salt and some vinegar, which was next to impossible to open. Having finished our meal we waited and saw that other tables were having to find someone to ask for the bill, which we also did. As we waited the adjacent table asked if the bill they had been given was ours, which it was. we finally left 1 hr and 45 minutes after arriving. My husband would have liked a pudding but was not willing to wait again. We do not feel inclined to visit again and there are many good affordable restaurants in our area.
Lovely place, clean, fast accommodating service (even though every table was full) and incredible food. As a vegan, it's so refreshing going to a place and they have the same old menu but I had the buffalo cauliflower wings and they were delicious, even my dad tried them ( who's big on meat ) and said he'd order them for himself. Lovely, friendly staff to which makes such a difference.
All round good meal would definitely recommend 👌
Very friendly & extremely helpful staff. Beautiful fish & chips !
Thank you.
Meadow FARM, according to the name I was expecting fresh and tasty food. According to the menu, I have traveled around the world in a minute.
However...
Have stopped there with my partner for a pint. We have decided for food as well. According to their offer (2 meals for 1), I did not expected much, but I do expected an "eatble" food.
We have ordered Gammon Steak and Chicken Tikka Masala.
My experience with Gammon was unexpected. The steak was very salty, chips smelled at fish, peas... no comment. A nice lady from the staff tried to save the situation and she exchanged for me the meal. (Nothing to change when the raw materials are frozen and low quality, in my opinion). However, the new plate came, the same gammon, with the same "tasty" chips and peas. Of course I didn't eat it.
Chicken Tikka... long story short, food from the can.
Never will eat there again.
The place it looks nice, a bit messy.
When we have arrived, a nice guy guide us, according to the new regulations C19.
At the very beginning I felt like the atmosphere is very nice, but very soon I have realised some tension there.
---The staff--
is trying to be nice, but they looks very stressed, running everywhere around the "farm" (big place).
--The kitchen--
I am not blaming the chef for my food, as long as the raw materials are supplied by the company. The chef will use what is in stock.
--New management--
As a business consultant, according to what I said above the manager/management department should be fired or replaced as soon as possible.
I hope my feedback will help this place to improve something there.
Thank you for reading my
Food was very poor and medium heat when served, we waited for condiments as the food got colder, eventually having to wander around to ask again. Food now cold. No return by staff for more drinks orders or to check if food was ok. Place was quiet too so no excuse.
