Best taxi service in REDDITCH

Between the 22/2/2020 and 27/2/2020 I spent £80 with this company. I have used them a lot over the last few years. They even answer with knowing my name. I pre-booked the trip on the 22/2 via their app. The figure quoted back was incorrect, and I received a telephone call to explain the problem with the app. I accepted the figure. On the day, the driver arrived 5 minutes late, and was fiddling around with his satnav to locate the restaurant. After failing for a further 10 minutes, I used Google Maps on my mobile to get us to the restaurant, eventually arriving late, and liaising with friends to explain to the restaurant. I was not happy. The return journey was better but then again, the driver had difficulty finding us. Cost £40 round trip. Then before the second booking I specifically said that I needed the driver to be on time and know where we were going. This time we had no one at the same restaurant to alert if we would be late. Due to the restaurant being fully booked, they only keep the booking open for so long if no one shows. At five past seven I ring to find out where the taxi is as it is not showing on their app (tracking). They say that it on its way, but still no tracking. At 19:20 he shows up, and doesn't know the location again (different driver). I then had to contact the restaurant to explain we would be late. They were very helpful, and promised to save our table. The purpose of this visit was that it was my son's 16th birthday, and he had wanted to return to this restaurant. Again angry, but this time fuming, it wasn't their driver's fault. I responded back to their e-mail subsequently, and explained they had failed the test.... If a test was ever needed. Don't treat your loyal customers this way. Charge was again £40 return. They could have placated me with the offer of a discount, but nothing forthcoming. I also had a future booking in the system to go to Solihull (£50), this has been cancelled and I am using a different company, and paying £60. A1 Taxis is not just the loss of this other booking, but all future booking and a bad review.

Trying to book a return minibus to an event and the person on the phone was very difficult and unhelpful. Refused to book me a taxi to the venue (which is very well known in this area) unless I gave a full postcode, which I don't have off hand. Had to go with another company in the end. Surely if she wanted my custom she could have just bothered to spend less than 1 minute looking it up. Not good customer service at all. This post is not about the drivers, I've had nothing but good experiences with them over many years.

Absolutely appalling service. Pre booked a taxi at 11.30 am for 2 school pick ups at 3pm. Paid extra as driver would be sat waiting for 5 minutes. Children were left waiting in pouring rain and strong winds for 50 mins each time I called I was told driver was 3-4 mins away. I managed to collect them myself in the end and the driver didn’t even turn up. Don’t waste your money what a load of rubbish this company is
