My wife had a hip problem which impeded her walking. This deteriorated very quickly and we saw Dr Hilton who referred her firstly to physio and then to a consultant who confirmed that she needed a new hip and gave her a cortisone injection which sometimes helps. It did not help so we were referred to a surgeon who reconfirmed she needed a new hip. We were very quickly given a date for surgery with only a five week waiting time. Then Covid came along, all operations were cancelled and my wife could no longer walk apart from shuffling around the home. We were desperate for a solution and spoke about our options with Dr Hilton. Two days later the surgeon phoned to discuss her condition and realised she needed urgent intervention. We then had a call booking her in for a priority operation with just a three week wait. The operation has now taken place and my wife is now recovering well thanks to Dr Hilton and of course the other NHS personnel.
