Quiet site tucked away from main roads. Great farm shop selling essential foods. Pets for children to see. Sadly a lot of flys when we were there but it is a farm.

Fantastic campsite!! Marion was a super nice and helpful, facilities were new and sparkling clean and the small but well stucked farm shop with home free range eggs was a great bonus! We only regretted we couldn't stay longer...

Just come back from a week here in our tourer caravan with friends, we had 2 pitches next to each other...well!!! What a lovely site, such a little gem and for £15 with electric....bargain!!! This site is set in the Lakes with many destinations just a short drive away such as Cockermouth and Keswick. We uses it as a base from which to drive to numerous areas to walk such as Aira Force and Whinlatter. The site itself its lovely, well maintained and clean...important in this current climate. Toiket blick is very clean and modern with 2 amazing hot strong showers, it had a stool to use, and 2 loos. There wasnt a disabled 1 currently in use though or baby changing.l, it was currently being used as storage by them but is there...I did check. Otherwise amazing. They are cleaned several times in the day at regular but unspecified intervals, theyre just checked for cleanliness then acted upon if needed. There are further older style loos when the newer 1s are being cleaned. There is a washer and dryer in the toilet block at £1.20 for a short wash (about an hour) which we used on our arrival 3 times and twice half way through and that cycle washed fine then £1 per half hour for the dryer, hour and a half dried a full load so £3 per full load. An amazing added bonus here is the animals...there are birds such as owls to look at, ponies and rabbits too. Also a lovely modern park for the kids as well as an area with little ride ons you can borrow in a small tarmacked area up near the rear of the park. There is a games room also but it waa shut due to Covid. A small farm shop is on site selling eggs, jams, cakes, fruit and veg as well as milk...a nice added bonus. Both the loos and shop had hand sanitiser to use at the doors. You can borrow a fire pit free and buy fire wood for £4 & fire starter kit for £1, we loved this touch. There are plastic slats to put down to help with any wet ground, we made a path to our car and put them under awning carpet too to save their ground and minimise mud. There is a glamping pod on site to rent as well as holiday cottages but we disnt inspect these. The access roads in this area arw as you expect for the area, a little tight but we have 1 if the largest vans on the market...a twin axel 8 foot van and we managed just fine using the directions provided by the site. The lady who you see and all members of the onsite family are lovely amd very helpful. would 100% reccommend this site and would return in a flash
