Brilliant site ! Owners are great and its very relaxed . Really enjoy our stays here .
Excellent base for Scafell Pike/Wast Water/The Sea... really pleasant camp site, very friendly owners will stay here again for sure
Lovely facilities available, quiet, peaceful area and very affordable. Bit too much of a trek to go out to Windermere etc but some lovely beaches near by in Whitehaven and St Bees.
Unfortunately I assumed other negative reviews would be from young, rowdy groups, who had caused problems themselves - but as a small, sign language quiet, disabled, respectful group of couples, we each had our own personal reasons to regret our stay. From disability discrimination to indisputable bullying, it is with regret that i feel obliged to warn other campers/caravaners from staying at this campsite.
The lovely lady, who was the one and only positive, has a lot on her plate compensating for a nasty husband who should not be in the hospitality business and a daughter who has too much responsibility for her maturity.
Good big pitches, great value for money, all grass pitches have fire pits.
