Really nice and very clean pub. Good range of drinks choices especially with the draught ales section. I had a pint of Marion which was from the Lincoln green brewery in Nottingham and extremely pleasant. The food menu had a mixture of meat, fish and vegetarian. They were fairly standard dishes. I cannot tell you any more about the food as we didn't eat there. Very friendly and chatty bar staff. I felt very safe in there. The garden was large and well planned with room for at least 50 people to be sat outside. It's also very conveniently situated right in the middle of the town.
Lovely pub with friendly bar staff, would definitely recommend for good beer and atmosphere
Very nicely refurbished. Food basic but good. Lovely staff.
The Railway is a very good, traditional alehouse in the heart of Belper. Everything about this place will make you want to linger: the comfy interior, the pleasant atmosphere, the nice staff - and most of all, the distinction of offering a range of Lincoln Green beers, which are very good indeed. We sampled some beers during a pub crawl of the town, but didn't have time to try any food. One of the dark options, the Lincoln Green Tuck Porter (their beers are all named after characters in the Robin Hood legend) I found to be absolutely delicious. Nice, clean place - everything a good community pub should be.
Nice pub that caters for everyone - good for real ale/drinks, lunch, coffee etc. Unlike a lot of places in belper it is quite spacious inside. Really enjoyed a lunch here with my baby daughter, food was hot and fresh, service was fast and friendly. Newly refurbished, nice and warm and background music on with big beer garden
