The seafood chowder was fantastic as was the seafood pasta. I'm guessing the chocolate fondant was also good judging by the speed my daughter emptied the plate. I was a little concerned at the lack of face masks being worn by some of the waiting staff, but the tables were spaced and there were sanatising stations with alcohol rub available. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even pre-portioned our main course when we explained that we would be sharing ours with our daughter. They are also participating in the eat-out to help out scheme, which was a bonus!

Disappointed. Having viewed the menu earlier in the week, I thought we would try it out as all the restaurants in the area had extended the eat out to help out deal. On arrival we were told to help ourselves to a table, and left to look at the menu already on the table, not the one I viewed previously, we were not offered an alternative menu and assumed that it had changed. We ordered two what we assumed were starters, and was told that they would come with the main meal, mine was class as a side, the other as Tapas, we thought strange. Mains arrived before what we consider starters and had to eat the starters at pace to prevent our mains from getting cold. The food was satisfactory for what we considered a fair price prior to receiving the bill. No discount was deducted from the bill. Told that there are 2 menu’s? The Lounge and the restaurant, the later subject to discount. Price was the same for the meal, I asked why there was no discount, apparently the Lounge till is not the same as the restaurant till? So discount doesn’t apply in the Lounge, so if your thinking of taking advantage of the deal! Use the restaurant. Also more too choose from in the Restaurant.

We dined here on a Sunday and many of my family had the Sunday dinner options, portions and quality of the courses were good. They kindly made a bowl of spaghetti with passata sauce for my youngest. I am vegetarian and the options were very limited, 2 starters and sadly only 1 main. What I had were tasty but another vegetarian and/or a Vegan option in mains would be great. Lovely desserts.

Absolutely disgusted by how we were treated at The River House this evening, my husband and I planned on meeting our daughter and her fiance for food and drinks, we arrived first and they joined us after work, the very rude gentleman behind the bar first asked did we all live in the same house, to which we replied yes, he then requested that we sit on separate tables, we tried to explain it was our daughter and future son-in-law, to which he replied "well I don't live with my mother-in-law! Not that we should have to explain anything to him but they are living with us whilst looking for their first home! We moved to separate tables, finished our drinks and left, then went to another restaurant had food and drinks a a very enjoyable experience, will definitely NOT be taking my custom there again and will be telling anyone who will listen about the disgusting way we were treated!!!! Also it wasn't until later we realized we could have shown our driving license as proof, but then why should we have to prove anything!!!!

Stopped here for a drink on a beautiful warm sunny afternoon. In a lovely spot on the marina and you could easily forget your in Swansea and think your on holiday somewhere. Good choice of drinks and friendly staff, didn't have anything to eat but looks a nice place and will hopefully be back soon.
