just popped in whilst out on our motorbike,in need of refreshment and something to eat.
Social distancing was being observed, the landlord and landlady were very attentive food was ordered and promptly served it was very tasty we had cause to use the facilities whilst we were there and these were found to be a very clean although our stop was not planned should we be up that way again we will certainly stop and have have something to eat and drink again I have given this pub 5-stars and it is well deserved
Nice friendly, cost pub.
There is a good choice on the menu. Food was good value, quality and portion sizes.
Also a nice choice of bitters.
Social distance measures were fully in place
Great hosts, good selection of beer and rooms with great views over the Peak District, brilliant full English too boot. What more could you ask for. And price is good too. Well done to the jug and glass
We stayed at the jug and glass for a few days in September 2020 we were made to feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble for the staff . Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day .We also had our evening meals there as the food was delicious hopefully we will be back again soon our room was lovely very clean and cosy thanks for making our stay special.

We stay there a few days when we were doing the Pennine Cycleway (Route 68), the service was great and with the smile, the place was clean, all the covid measures in place and being followed, amazing breakfast and most important great value for money! Absolutely great experience would stay there again and really recommend specially if you are cycling (they can accommodate your bike in a secure place)
