We went for meals twice here over a birthday retreat. The food was amazing, their homemade pies were incredible and the atmosphere was lovely too. I definitely recommend getting the beef brisket starter, absolutely delicious! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. It's definitely worth making a reservation as it is very popular and rightly so!

Cheerful friendly staff with a genuine warm welcome. Decent well kept ale and really good homemade food. The Belgian Blue beef caramelised onion burger was superb and so was the steak, ale & mushroom pie. Fabulous!

Amazing gastro pub own since 2017 by a nice family. Food is top I had gnocchi with braised lamb it it was to die for. The plates are beautiful the warm fire is amazing after a walk. Beers are good and the Sunday roast was superbe (we went the next day). Thanks for everything

Good beer which is served in good condition, plus hearty bar meals. We tried various pies, fish and chips, steak, curry and gammon during our time in Youlgreave. They were all good, perhaps with the exception of the homity pie, which was mainly full of potatoes and served with chips. Potato overload. We kept going back every night of the week though, which says it all about how we rated the place.

Fantastic beer garden area with a great selection of gins and ales. Dog friendly and clean toilets, what more can you want?
