On a trip through Derbyshire with my 92 year old father, who has difficulty walking. He suggested The Miners Arms at Brassington based on memories from some years ago as he has lived in Perth Scotland for the last 10 years. We sat outside at one of the larger tables with a view of the village church. The waitress was very bright and cheerful and was extremely helpful. We asked about the menu as we were having difficulty getting it on line and one was brought out immediately. The menu was very good and there was something for everyone in our family group. When we asked about the pies the waitress recalled all the options, they all sounded so good. The food was ordered and we sat and chatted over a drink and waited for the food. There was no disapointment, the pies were adbsolutely gorgeous, we had 3 of the options and were all packed with meat and flavour, the other meals were just as great and full of flavour. The atmosphere and all the staff were great and very helpful all through our visit.

Walking the Limestone Way, we finished one day in Brassington. The staff at the Miner's Arms were very friendly (watch out-in all likelihood you'll finish up having a dessert 😀). The food was perfect after a long day walking. Staff helpful when our planned lift didn't arrive-welcomed us back and offered tea/coffee to ease the wait for our taxi.

Beautiful village so peaceful. Lovely walks and scenery. Local pub Miners Arms was so welcoming and lovely food.

Deserves more than 4 stars it currently attracts. Food is really good quality and exceptional value. Friendly staff. Beer great too - Falstaff microbrewery put in an appearance tonight.
