A wonderful gem!
We booked last minute as decided to impulsively tour the Yorkshire dales and Peak District. Choose Biggin Hall as well reviewed and wow... does it deserve it.
Upon arriving the staff are incredibly welcoming and polite. We arrived early and without expectation of doing so, did what they could to allow us in the room early.
The room was clean, spacious and as expected. The main building and gardens are beautiful and the real wow factor came at dinner. The food was incredible, the South African Avondale wine they recommended was brilliant and best of all, the staff are incredibly professional, friendly and warm. It makes a real difference and we got the impression everyone loved working there and took pride in what they did. We ended up eating there again our second and final night as was so impressed. Incredibly there was a different menu which made our second meal as unique as the first! Breakfast, pack lunches and the rest of the overall experience followed suit.

Quirky 18th century building, comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, decent food. They are doing well with making it as COVID safe as possible. This is way out in the countryside, so no phone signal and wifi was very slow to nonexistent, but we went for a change of scene and to walk the dales, not to surf the internet! Would have given it 5 stars except our rooms (#8) could be updated a bit.
Amazing food and fantastic service. The wonderful staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a lovely evening and can thoroughly recommend it!
Couple of dog friendly rooms that are actually nice. Great breakfast. Great traditional pub pretty much next door (with good cheap food). Solid.
Wonderful service throughout the whole hotel. Perfect stay for us.
