I spent a few days here a couple of weeks back and I can't recommend highly enough.
The room was a lot more spacious than I expected with a good breakfast included, but the real highlight was the staff and food in the restaurant.
Exceptional service and amazing food for a great price and much quicker than you might expect from somewhere of that quality.
If you're looking for a cheap little room to stay in whilst you enjoy the peaks there may be better alternatives, but if you're looking for somewhere that enhances your trip, this is the place for you.

Just spent three nights at the hotel, it was great staff were very helpful. Food in the hotel was first class. A family run business with only four rooms, I will definitely be using this place again
We booked two rooms and both were clean and spacious. The staff were great and the continental breakfast was very nice. The restaurant downstairs is highly recommended and we ate in there and I have to say, the food was fantastic. Fresh and hot. I personally recommend the hunters chicken.
We arrived with trepidation but was pleasantly surprised by the greeting and chuffed to bits with the accommodation.
The spire view is also a steak restaurant and I would recommend eating there. Good value for your money and pleasant staff .
Give it a go if you're up this way.
