Great Meal. Family outing and late call but managed to book in. Starters of rustic bread with balsamic vinegar and really nice butter. 6 of us on a family Sunday night out. I had ribeye steak with salad n double cooked chips which were gorgeous n fluffy. Ordered an extra of 1 x blue cheese sauce which was very good to say the least. Rest of family had various from Sunday roast beef to gammon with 2 eggs and Steak burger with fries. No complaints from anyone. With drinks and meal all came to £148. Not bad at all considering portions were good size and the food standard very good. We'll be back soon. Recommended. G.

Fantastic old world pub. We hadn't booked but the staff managed to find us a table. They staff where very polite and nothing was to much trouble. The food was fantastic and we can't wait to go back.

We visited last weekend for a much needed break and had a fantastic time. Lovely location, peaceful and picturesque . Our room was perfect, comfortable and stylish, clean and private. The food served was excellent, compliments to the chef and team. Our great thanks to Fiona the landlady who's attention to detail and personal touches made us feel very looked after. We definitely recommend a visit and will certainly be going again.

Very good food. Welcoming staff who are following the rules regarding Covid in a away that helps you feel safe whilst still making you feel welcome. I know I said welcome twice, just shows you how nice they are. Also at the time of my visit they were offering an in house 25% discount.

Just popped in on the way back from kinder scout... Pub was very busy but would try fit us in... Staff where very friendly and very helpful... Ordered two lamb Henry's and was told woukd be about 20 minds wait but came sooner and was delicious... When I'm up this way again I will defo visit here again.
