Went for lunch with the hubby on Saturday. Extremely well organised and attentive staff. Had a Sandwich and the homemade mushroom soup and OMG i dont usually order soup but this was absolutely delicious. Sandwich was also very good. Hubby has the house burger which he enjoyed very much. Wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this lovely establishment.
Best pub for food in Hayfield. We arrived and were greeted by name from a very welcoming member of staff. We ordered the burger and cheesecake and it was fantastic. The took great care in cleaning between customers and thanked you for your service upon leaving. We will be back on our next stay.
Really tasty pub lunch, between us we had great fish & chips, nachos & a delicious burger with homemade chips.
Highchair provided for our little one.
Lisa and Louise (hope I have that right!) were absolutely lovely.
Completely in-line with covid guidelines; masks politely requested as you arrive & if you move from the table. Everything smelt clean and tables well spaced.

Weekend away camping nearby. Had dinner here on Saturday and it was lovely. Would recommend the Sportsman burger. My other half had the steak and ale pie and it was Amazing.
Extremely friendly pub, great food, excellent ale and wine and very comfortable room. Would recommend this anyone who wants a couple of days away with easy access to Kinder Scout and surrounding hills and moors. Thanks! 👍
