We, my wife and I, decided to phone up on our way home from a trip to Derby. However, the phone went to answer machine with the advice to book on line, which we did for the earliest available slot, just 40 minutes later . We were greeted on the door where there was a sanitation station. The new guidelines were explained to us with clear and ample signage showing their one way system. We were led to our table and presented with "single use" menu sheets, which were placed in a recycling bin upon our exit. We were treated like royalty by the staff as though we were the only customers there, and having placed our order we didn't have to wait too long before our piping hot food arrived at our table. The service and food was first rate and the new practices being implemented during these strange pandemical times were professionally executed. Our whole experience was relaxed and reassuring. The Stanhope did us proud. Well done to all of the staff, especially Lauren our waitress.
Well spaced out restaurant. Well organized. Meals are nicely cooked. Peaceful place to have a meal.
First visit since opening after lockdown. Had a lovely meal and felt very safe. Andy welcomed us and explained new rules for our safety. Can't fault it and will happily return at some point.
Good service. Nice food. Adequate COVID tracking and one way system. Not a lot on menu for veggies/vegans, but I can heartily recommend the Sloppy Joe veggie burger.
Food & service was good , the down side was a young woman serving in a checked pinafore dress that was to tight & in appropriate for the job
I would have thought that a dress code would be in place 😱
