On a Tuesday lunchtime you want tapas right?
Yes? Yes, you do!
Well the tapas in the Honiton Wine Bar was both reasonably priced and fantastically tasty.
My particular favourite was the chorizo which had a rather good smokey flavour over the usual spice and was very rich.
Good solid bravas and calamari. Whitebait is always fun and tasty.
Perhaps the bruschetta had a tad too much oil or vinaigrette and lost it's crispness towards the end, but it was still delicious.
The staff are very charming and helpful with recommendations.
The other food on the menus sounded equally tempting and i was sorry i couldn't eat rather more. Still, it is a good excuse to visit again next time i am in Devon!
A fantastic evening in this cosy family run restaurant. Quiet tonight because of Covid restrictions but faultless service and lovely tapas. Well worth a visit and we will certainly be back. Quality ingredients from local suppliers evident. Thank you so much for the lovely evening.... a faultless dining experience.
Just tried their take away tapas meals. Absolutely amazing!. Ordered and collected 20 minutes later. Served in individual boxes they were hot and well presented. We tried several of their dishes and they are all amazing, well done, deffo using again.
CV19 measures good. Only popped in for coffee but pleasantly served. Nice and hot, good strength. We'll be back to eat next time.
Quirky place, no menu's the food available is written on slate boards around the room. The choices are limited and prices are about 15% above average. So why four stars? The people were lovely and the quality of the food was good too, worth visiting if in the area.
