Wonderful place for a birthday and anniversary treat. Staff friendly and helpful, couldn't be more helpful. Set in beautiful grounds and has a kitchen garden to explore. Food very good and obviously very fresh. A good night's sleep guaranteed. We were lucky enough to stay in the "Laundry" what can i say WOW. An unforgettable experience. THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING OUR STAY WONDERFUL.
All the praiseworthy reviews are well deserved. Perfect combination of rustic and chic. Perfect blend of traditional and modern. Every detail thought through intelligently and with great style. The locally sourced and freshly prepared food is lovely and always served beautifully. Not a formal gourmet/fine dining experience here though, which is not a criticism. The food and wine menus are good, if a little pricey. Service in all respects is top quality - authentic, easy-going, educated good manners. Quite rare.
Wow, words fail me. This place is utterly stunning, set in open countryside on a large estate the peace and tranquility is everything you could dream off. In addition, the staff are so well trained, polite, courteous and helpful; internal decoration is tasteful and retains many original features; our meals were excellent and our room in the stable block was superb. Can't wait to go back!
Second visit to the fabulous Pig at Combe, this time staying in the Thatched Cottage near the entrance to the grounds. Wonderful space with walled garden & full kitchen that they stock up with bare necessities such as milk, bread, eggs, pasta & sauce. Staff were superb as always. Lovely to walk around the main garden & enjoy views from the Folly. Highly recommended & still our favourite Pig.
An utter delight. Food is fabulous. Service is pretty faultless in terms of attention to detail, although a little slow on a couple of meal occasions. Our family room, whilst quite dark was extremely cosy. Location is to die for with stunning views and countryside escape. Lots of places to explore in the near by area. They're great with kids. Highly recommended.. But book early!
