Think this may be the first time I’ve awarded a Wetherspoons 5 stars! We passed a “Spoons” in the high street but it didn’t look all that inviting so made our way around the this one.
This branch is located in a former Presbyterian chapel and has retained a lot of the features. The guy on the door was welcoming and efficient and asked us to complete a Covid track and trace form. The food ordering was efficient and it was served swiftly and nice and hot.
Can’t complain about anything!
Love George's Meeting House, friendly helpful staff. Great pub for a bite to eat either on your own or with family.
Very beautiful pub, seems like it's an old church of some kind. You can sit at the top floor which overlooks the entrance and the dynamics are incredible. Some of the staff are really nice however the bar manager is a bit of an arse, he could do with cheering up. Definitely recommend this establishment.
I can only speak of experiences in the late afternoon but, excellent covid-security work. Very simple (but safe) to get in.
Update: Put these people in charge of vaccine distribution. Top work!
Food came very quickly and was hot and tasted good. However the bacon, I could smashed a window with. Very dry and overcooked
