Beautiful historic Inn with a fascinating history and architecture to march. Full of cosy nooks and crannies, and secluded patios, it's a great, homely hotel, and an excellent family pub. Ample parking and access. Great food, beautifully prepared and at reasonable prices. Very good staff and service. Overall, a super place to chill, eat, drink - and stay overnight.
I went to the pub and went through the interrogation ie stand there what’s your shirt measurement but ok no problem. Then had two lovely pints. Then decided to order gammon egg and chips and a portion of chips for my wife. Well it came quick enough and the gammon came with 9 chips and not many more in the portion as well. We said to the waitress straight away nicely that was a small portion and she instantly said sorry she only serves it so we were obviously not the First people to say that. What we had was nice but we might as well had the same in wetherspoons for half the price!! You wont see me again!!!!
I stayed here Tuesday 27th October and was greeted by lovely warm welcoming staff, The whole Inn was very clean and great with current health precautions. my room was lovely and very clean. I felt very safe and would gladly book again. Thanks very much, Shaun
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very covid safe. Great food and lovely rooms. Great location for the centre definitely visit again
In awkward times we appreciate it's hard but the hotel average at the very best 6 days no new towels hardly anyone on reception the pub food limited and service awful the only 3 peolpe in the pub every night yet they still got the order wrong every night disgraceful questioned every night if we was in a social bubble although no others were not made welcome at all would rather sleep on street then visit again
