Although you could be picky about the slightly tired decor and some noticable wear in corridor carpets, this is more than compensated by the excellent and cheerful service from all the staff. Very impressed by the admittedly reduced dinner menu which was very well cooked and served and included every tasty venison dish.As there was also a bar menu providing the more usual fare of fish and chips, burgers etc, most tastes were catered. Extremely helpful staff and a very pleasant and relaxing time on our weekend.
The rooms are clean and tidy but our bathroom facilities do need updating especially the toilet as it is difficult to flush
The receptionist is very friendly and extremely helpful
However I feel there should be more flexibility with the breakfast options and why is it £10 the night before but £13.95 the next day ?
I am afraid because of this we have eaten else where for a fraction of the price
Overall the hotel is good and has a lovely lounge and and bar down stairs and the hotel is set in lovely grounds conveniently close to the town
We feel in certain areas the hotel needs updating but understand in the present climate that is probably difficult

Great budget hotel. No frills and dated decor, but for the price you can't complain, the room is lovely and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Bar is nice too, quiet but the bartender lady is very nice. Overall a very pleasant stay and for the price we are happy

Decor getting a bit tired but overall stay was very acceptable.
We spent 2 nights at Tiverton on our way to our holiday in Cornwall. We were made to feel very relaxed by all of the sfaff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was spacious and comfortable. No complaints at all, we had a great time.
