Excellent food and a good size portion. Kids menu. Wide selection of beer. Pool table, sports on T.V.and a good size. Kids welcome until 9pm. The pub has just had a refit so looking good. Sunday carvery (booking advised for Sunday) no need to book week days. Car park on the other side of the road, Smoking area is outside with tables and chairs. you just don't need anymore than this.

Pie was great but... What are you spraying your tables with? So sticky not only did my skin stick to them but my clothes too! Cold compared to most other bars, no atmosphere. Bar staff arguing with kitchen staff. Service kinda felt pushed rather than natural. If you live to eat pie, go here, else don't. I do commend them on enforcing the covid guidelines, however. I'd be happy to try again in future if the constructive criticism is handled well and actioned.

Went a week ago late afternoon and had a lovely time in new garden. However when we went back in evening recently was told garden not open in the evening and only other outside space was the small yard area by the pool table which tends to get a bit smokey and sometimes sweary. So disappointing as was hoping to make it a regular place to go. The website says closed at 10 but was actually 9 which is a bit early. I would have given 5 stars if garden was open.
