The new ownership of this formerly popular pub gets 10/10 from me!
Five of us booked for a book club lunch and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We had a room to ourselves, and the table with white tablecloth and flowers was socially distanced and nicely laid. The whole pub has been upgraded and the decorations are extremely nice now. They had a selection of wonderful cocktails on the board as well as all the usual drinks. The food was really very very good and the service was very helpful and attentive.
All five of us were pleased and impressed and will be returning again soon.
An old favourite with new owners.
We stopped in after securing a booking earlier in the day. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the service continued to be warm and attentive. Excellent service was also followed by delicious and well presented food with really amazing puddings. Definitely worthy of five stars plus.
As always, Tess and Jay were the perfect hosts. Amazing food and drinks. We WIll be back soon xx
Outstanding pub. Extremely high quality food, good for a pint after a jaunt on the moors. And all of the staff across two visits were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Can't say enough good about them. Thanks guys, pat & Simon (the weird drunks that ran home)
An excellent find where our very short notice booking was met with friendly and excellent customer service. Tess was most accommodating to our late arrival and we were welcomed and shown to our room as if we were returning guests. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding both by choice and standard of cooking - really worth the cost on its own - well done Jay and Tess.
