Fantastic team here. I was working locally and the Bearslake Inn accommodated and helped us in every way possible. I was unsure on when I would be arriving with my colleagues, but they made our food to be ready for when we arrived and kept it warm for us. They even had drinks ready too! Nathan is a fantastic asset to the company. Thank you so much for making it stress free. Good food too!

Wonderful hotel, I visited with my husband and our two dogs for a Sunday roast. It was one of the best we’ve ever had! Great service, amazing food and dog friendly - ticks every box. When booking on their website simply check the box if you wish to visit with your dogs and you’ll get a dog friendly table. If you don’t have dogs, then there is an option to sit in another section. We will be back!

We stopped here after an afternoon cyclen along the granite way. We had a fabulous meal. The kids loved the burger and we adored the venison. The deserts were delicious. Highly recommended and it was dog friendly.

Could not believe the quality of the food in this pretty little pub / restaurant. I had the duck liver parfait, followed by plaice cooked with samphire, shrimp and seaweed and for desert the delectable treacle and brown butter tart with poached apples, custard and ice-cream. You would be hard pressed to find more delicious, finely presented food in any of the capital’s restaurants but in a pretty little corner of Devon. To add to that, the service was courteous, professional and friendly. It was a wonderful dinner to end a wonderful day and we came back to the cottage feeling sleepy, well dined and very content.

Lovely thatched Inn with beautiful Riverside garden. Inside there is ample seating and a romantic ambience. The food is excellent. Prices are fair but not cheap. Staff are attentive and talkative. Disabled access is pretty good for an old building and parking for 15 vehicles. There are decent toilet facilities and the venue is dog friendly. The pub is conveniently situated on the A386.
