We came down from Essex for a few days and had our dinner here. Very, very pleased. The service was great, very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the food was excellent. We had the spicy wings as a starter and they were juicy, crispy and hot sauce had a beautiful flavour to it. Then we had the brisket pie and the slow cooked brisket. Perfect. The least melted in your mouth and the gravy was spot on. Although almost going into a food coma, I was so pleased that I wanted to try their desserts. So we had the apple crumble which was delicious, however, I'm very glad we got it to share otherwise we would've had to book a room for the night. The experience was great and we were extremely happy with our dinner from start to finish. Definitely will be coming back whenever we will be in the area. Thank you.
Delicious food let down by incredibly slow and unfriendly service. Our empty plates were left on our table for 30+ minutes. Servers constantly distracted on their phones. It wasn’t even busy!
I had the most amazing ribs yesterday! The flavour and tenderness of these ribs is next level!
The homemade coleslaw was also really tasty and chunky just how I like it.
Rachel gave a devine run down of how these ribs are smoked for 6-8 hours.
The pub itself is in a beautiful area and although I got my ribs on a takeout , looking forward to lock down to be lifted so I can book a table for a family meal 😊 💯 recommended, will be back again soon!
Good staff and lovely location my only negative is that it's a bit over priced.
We called in for lunch.Lovely menu with all prices in round figures.
All courses were well cooked and presented and tasted fabulous. The staff were friendly and obliging.
In fact we booked for Boxing Day!
