We visited The Woolpack for lunch and were impressed with the friendly welcome, great service and yummy food. Finding a lovely pub with more than one decent veggie option is rare but The Woolpack had at least 4 things we wanted to try! We went for the veggie burgers with brie and cranberry and they were soooo good. The food came incredibly quickly even though they seemed pretty busy. The staff were really friendly and efficient. In terms of covid safety measures there were signs up directing people, a screen at the bar and plenty of hand sanitizing stations dotted around. Thanks for making my birthday lunch awesome! We'll definitely be back!

The best pub in the country. I have visited the Woolpack on several occasions and never been disappointed. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A pretty pub in an idyllic setting. Every precaution is taken to make customers feel safe during this pandemic. I most particularly enjoyed the open mic nights and hope that they will be able to return soon.

Seating, ordering, drinks, food, very fast and friendly. Took a long time to pay for bill. Food and drink was great value for money, very tasty. Lovely seating by riverside windows.

I really enjoyed our time here, and intended to write a review on the journey home, two weeks ago! On arrival, we were shown almost immediately to our table, (masked and having used alco-gel just inside the door.) Service was efficient and friendly,. Tables, (though quite busy,) were staggered with seating at alternate tables. Drinks arrived promptly and or orders were taken shortly after. Food arrived within 20 minutes of our arranged arrival time. I very much enjoyed my Lamb with Squash and Rosti. Deigning to offer my wife a sample of those excellent flavours, I was rewarded with a taste of her delightful Rib dish. We spent a very pleasant hour and a half there with my parents. Thank you Woolpack.
