Great place to have a lovely dinner or lunch with your family or friends. Amazing food, not just flavours but also incredibly beautiful presentation. Definitely place to recommend and to come back for more.

Stayed for 1 night, rooms were spacious and cosy, toilets were modern and walk in shower was amazing! Had breakfast the morning after which was delicious. Really friendly staff and would definitely stay here again.

Very nice pub with excellent food and lovely staff. The rooms are very comfortable, room 6 particularly so. Room 1 was very warm, perhaps because it was over the kitchen.

Fantastic food and customer service. We arrived here for a booked meal on Saturday evening and just as we arrived our car broke down. There is no mobile signal and they let us use the landline to call the RAC. The food during our meal was superb, we then moved to the bar to continue waiting for the RAC. We ended up waiting 7 hours to be recovered only 4 miles. The staff at the Fontmell were so helpful and accommodating, allowing us to sit in the bar right up until the final member of staff left and locked up for the night. Truly top notch service and customer care

Fantastic food with great attention to presentational detail, seasoned to perfection. We were told what was on children's menu - the burger was huge (adult size), delicious, however I think only 12 year old would ever ate the whole portion. For children's meals, the price was a bit too high but corresponded the size. My vegan main was a curry, very well presented, very large portion and there was only flat bread served with it. The dhal became quite boring around third way through the meal as there was no other texture to it. My partner's lamb looked and tasted amazing - i wish similar care and thought was put into the vegan dish. Atmosphere in the pub is very inviting and cosy. There were few things which prevent me giving 5 stars - these were mainly about attention to detail with presentation of the pub - they shouldn't have been there and were sticking out as a sore thumb (mop bucket, random racking). However, they did not deter the pleasant visit and great food experience. Definitely will return and recommend.
