We loved this place. Friendly staff who took us as a party of 6 with no problem in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. It was quiet and obviously a local's pub but we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Service was efficient in a casual, non fussy way. The menu was traditional pub food and the portions were extremely generous. We each had a different meal but everyone thought their food was delicious. With a few drinks round the table we were pleased with the bill too at just over £120 as mains were pegged around £12.95 rather than the £14/16 most pubs would charge for a lot less food on the plate. We heartily recommend if you are looking for a relaxed place when you are hungry.
Lovely meal for my birthday. Brought my recently adopted rescue dog and they were so kind (she has only 3 legs and blind in one eye and was rather nervous) what a lovely place x
It was great to be back in the warm (but safe) atmoshere in the Fiddleford tonight ...great food, a nice spicy fresh chilly with wild rice and a homely steak and kidney pie ...Such a good night out in winter ..such lovely publicans
Absolutely lovely and accommodating hosts. Very cosy room with beautiful bathroom and a very large bathtub. The breakfast was genuinely spot on, fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. Would most definitely stay again.
Stopped for lunch yesterday. Very good food and service with a smile. Would recommend. Will definitely go back.
