Really lovely food and welcome. They’d put balloons on the table because it was my birthday, very kind and helpful staff, great food, quick service. Nice selection on the menu, less for me because I’m vegetarian so that’s to be expected. The only negative for me was no mulled wine but we could cope

I had a cheesy garlic mushrooms for starter and it was marvellous, then a fish and chips for main which was excellent, and generous. I had the chocolate brownie and cream pudding and couldn't move because I was so full. I didn't need the pudding but it was superb and now I'm a massive fatty and am going to sign up to Fat Club or something. I can highly recommend this place. All their Covid precautions were good too . Well done Quay Inn , deserved 5 stars 🌟

We booked a table for 6 people on Sunday evening for roast dinners. We arrived and were rudely pointed to our table without being sat down or spoken to at all. We waited a while for our drinks order to be taken and were still not offered a food menu for a long time. Once we requested the food menu nobody communicated to us that anything was out of stock. We overheard the table next to us couldn’t order what they wanted so they got discount and a bottle of wine on the house. It seemed to us that they received this because they were an older group of people whereas we were younger. When our order was finally taken they told us they didn’t have any roasts, any burgers or a few other ingredients. In a rush we ended up ordering what we did not want but at this point we had to stay for a meal as we had been served drinks. We asked whether we would receive this same discount and bottle of wine on the house and they said that the manager could only offer this and that there was no manager on shift anymore as he was out drinking at another pub. They suggested we come back tomorrow to speak to the manager. We ended up paying a £200 bill and being unhappy with the service and attentiveness of the employees. It is a shame as we all live and work in wareham and have had positive experiences in this pub in the past.

Food was nice. Crab and Lobster bisque and camembert was delightful. Fish and chip the fish itself was nice however the batter was slightly over cooked. The salmon special was very well presented and tasty. The staff that cleared the table were lovely only recommendation was that someone was available to seat you on arrival or have signage where to go rather than wait for a bartender to be available
