Cute old school English pub, loved it. Sunday roast was awesome, staff were attentive with nothing to much trouble, definitely worth the trip out. Can't wait for the next visit 👍
Visited for the first time since new management took over. Staff were very friendly and polite. It was quiet and we sat outside, service was very slow. We all ordered a sandwich and were offered white or granary bread, we all ordered granary. Our drinks arrived after a bit of a wait but the sandwiches took ages to come out. When they eventually arrived we found the granary bread we were expecting was no more that 50/50 ordinary sliced bread, very disappointing. No salad garnish which I would expect with a sandwich costing £7. It came with a spicy coleslaw in a pot, we were expecting ordinary coleslaw as the menu did not mention it was spicy so 3 of us did not eat it. No cutlery, condiments or serviettes brought out with the food so we had to ask for it and wait again for it to be brought out. 'Handful of chips' literally was just that. Not many chips for the extra £1. Have used the Silent Woman Pub for years, actually got married there. Sadly our experience wasn't great so paying nearly £50 for 4 uninspiring sandwiches with 4 drinks did not feel much like value or quality food for the money. Not sure we will go back.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast. Beautifully cooked and nice and hot. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely will return and can recommend to others.
Absolutely fantastic find. And only half a mile from our campsite (which is also brilliant) lovely meal, and going back tomorrow for lunch 😊
Really friendly atmosphere, good food & lovely people. We will be visiting again soon!
