Excellent village pub. Good menu and home cooked food. As a free house serves an ever changing choice of cask beers all served in good condition. Always worth seeking out if visiting the area.

We recently stayed at a caravan site nearby and popped in to the Black Bear for a quick drink. Despite the difficulties brought on by covid the Landlady and staff were amazing. So friendly and so helpful it was an absolute pleasure finding this pub. We ended up going back for breakfast Saturday morning and for a meal Saturday evening. Food was superb and the atmosphere lovely. The numerous locals were also very welcoming and friendly too. Its a shame more pubs don't have the same qualities as the Black Bear. The whole place is a real credit to the hard working landlady and staff Thankyou so much, we will definitely going back.

A very pleasant experience at the Black Bear Inn, the building has been renovated to a very high standard, it’s light and airy atmosphere really is a welcoming delight. Every room seems to have a different feel / decor which adds to the vibe. Staff here are friendly and polite, smartly dressed and incredibly helpful, it was nice to see this establishment handle the social distancing rules so well and professionally, at times we forgot that we are in a global pandemic!! I need to make a point here and state that whatever pudding you go for from the menu, you really won’t be disappointed in apart from the fact that you will want to eat more but you will be physically unable to do so, exceptionally good pudding!!

A great pub in wool serving some very good pub food. Nicely designed interior and ideal garden. Good value and friendly service. Will recommend and probably return
