I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserves one.. George and the team were outstanding from the get go - Very welcoming, polite and attentive to our needs, nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful, like a walk back in time - Very traditional which we enjoyed! Comfortable bed and immaculately clean also. The food was outstanding, especially the Sunday roast dinner, along with the breakfast! Also, the real ale was perfectly conditioned. All in all, brilliant value for money, 5* service and more than what we expected. A lovely weekend away :)

Great place to stay very close to Corfe Castle. Lovely room, great food and staff. Special thanks to the lovely lady serving breakfast who couldn’t believe we were heading off cycling to catch a ferry with only cereal and sent us off on our way with sausage and bacon baps for later-so appreciated!

So refreshing to find a pub that does things right. Over the course of our two week stay in Dorset, we had dinner twice and also had three breakfasts during out stay! Without doubt, the food is first rate and it's quite obvious that the pub has taken great care in choosing their suppliers - from the breakfast sausages to the sirloin steak, everything is quality produce. Given the above, you would expect the prices to be quite expensive but they're not - this place offers great value certainly compared to some of the offerings from other establishments (not in Corfe, the pubs in Corfe all good). The Bankes Arms is well run with attentive staff, it's a great place to eat and I look forward returning later this year.

It was OK, but nothing more. We went for a pub lunch between getting off the steam train and getting back on again (it’s very convenient for the train), although would try somewhere else next time. There was nothing wrong, apart from the staff not really knowing what’s going on(but they were both helpful and pleasant), but it just wasn’t a lovely pub lunch. Food was warm not hot and just that. The beer was good though.

Had a fabulous lunch for two... Lamb Kofta on flat sough dough bread and Pulled Pork in BBQ sauce with all trimmings excellent value for money and rhubarb sorbet pud delicious. Staff really good best meal and best customer service in Corfe by miles. Highly recommended and all Covid measures followed felt very safe
