Lovely campsite. Excellent facilities. Decent showers and plenty of loos. Really well organised and super friendly owners. Lots of space and peaceful friendly fellow campers. Some road noise but it does quieten down in the evening.
A lovely, simple campsite with great facilities. Toilets and shower rooms were very clean. Owners really accommodating and friendly. It's on a very busy road so road noise may be an issue for some but it does get quieter as the evenings come. Lovely walk across the fields to Rye.
A friend and I had the pleasure of staying here, the week after covid restrictions were eased. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host and was asked what sort of pitch we would prefer. We had dogs with us and didn’t want to be near a gate with lots of people passing. We were shown to a lovely corner pitch which was our corner of heaven for the weekend. The cleanliness of the site was spotless, everything was clearly thoroughly cleaned and all guests cleaned the facilities after using them. Hand sanitiser and gel was available at every tap, sink and surface and were definitely being used. Not a lot of light pollution so perfect for star gazing. At least 2 pubs in walking distance for a nice pub lunch and walk and a short drive to Winchelsea.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, will be recommending and returning.
We absolutely loved this place!! Very helpful and welcoming staff, facilities cleaned to a surgical standard, large and even terrain and easy going guests. One suggestion for the future visitors, bring your meat and ask the staff for one of their mobile fireplace/bbq (we didn't know about this option when we booked and we were so jealous of other guests grilling and warming up with them!!!!) :)
